Hello! My name is Kevin Griggs, and I’m an environmental consultant specializing in wetlands and water quality regulatory issues in the Midwest. I’m a born and raised Iowan, originally from the City Beautiful, Storm Lake, in northwest Iowa. I have a BS degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology from Iowa State University. I’m a Professional Wetlands Scientist and Certified Wildlife Biologist.
My career path has included time working for Iowa DNR and DOT, as well as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. I’m an owner and President/CEO of EOR Iowa, LLC. I’m fortunate to work every day on issues and challenges that affect the state’s natural resources.
My professional work focuses on Clean Water Act compliance for civil, residential, recreational, and agricultural projects in Iowa and surrounding states. I help clients navigate complex regulations and ensure that environmental impacts are minimized and mitigated. My work in our neighboring states has opened my eyes to new ways to achieve local environmental goals. My hope is to bring that experience to Iowa, when and where appropriate.
I’m interested in environmental policy as it affects Iowa’s water quality and natural resources. I seek ways to improve quality of life for all Iowans while balancing the interests of industry, agriculture, and other sectors of our society.
I’m excited to join the Iowa Environmental Council Board of Directors because I’m passionate about finding solutions to challenging environmental issues. I’ve long admired IEC’s approach to protecting Iowan’s environmental values by implementing their member priorities. I’ve been an active member for several years and see my role on the board as a natural progression to ensuring their future success.
My goal is to be sure that my kids and grandkids inherit a world on a path to improved environmental sustainability. I believe in a better Iowa!
