The Iowa Environmental Council hosts several events throughout the year, including our Environmental Lobby Day during legislative session and Pro H2O in the spring.

Soil Health: A Journey to Profitability

The Black Hawk and Tama SWCDs will host a free soil health event featuring Ohio farmer Dave Brandt. Brandt, a global leader in conservation, has over 50 years of experience in cover crops, no-till, and specialty crops. Additional speakers include: Jack Boyer, Tama Co. farmer, Todd Western, Black Hawk Farmer. Speakers will discuss their journey adapting soil health practices to fit their farming operation.
