Join us for one session, two sessions, or all three sessions as we learn and explore 3 unique native prairie remnants. Carissa Shoemaker, Director of Land Stewardship at Whiterock Conservancy, will share her knowledge of Whiterock Conservancy's rare prairie ecosystems, and the land management tools and techniques her team is implementing to keep the prairies thriving.
As we venture to Tuel and Judson Prairie, Jon Judson will discuss land history, plant identification, and share with us a tour of his private prairie where John has protected, restored, and collected seed to make sure that the legacy of this prairie can continue. Hear the story of the lone raccoon that played a big part in saving this prairie.
Please bring water and a lunch. If you need a lunch, there are restaurants in Coon Rapids. Plan to walk up to one mile.
If you need special accommodations to attend or have concerns about accessibility, please contact Whiterock Conservancy directly.
