Coal Plant Community Impact Study
Iowa’s energy generation system is changing and these changes will impact the economies of communities in Iowa where coal-fueled power plants are located.
To help communities proactively prepare for these changes, IEC commissioned Iowa State University Extension to analyze the economic, fiscal, and social impacts of coal plants on the communities where they are located to provide communities with vital information for planning.
On March 23 the lead study author was joined by IEC staff for live Q&A following a presentation on the report.
