Riparian Buffers: An Important Practice For Limiting Nutrient Pollution

A riparian buffer is an edge-of-field practice that helps protect Iowa's waterways by limiting erosion and pollution. While the Nutrient Reduction Strategy mentions buffers, they are not required or monitored. Senator Rob Hogg's bill SF 491 would make strides in establishing this vital practice in Iowa.
